I started seriously writing stories when the great pandemic of 2020 isolated me in my apartment. My reasoning was it would give me a way to channel the anxiety I was feeling during that time. What I found out is I have always created stories. I wasn't writing them down. I also found out I enjoy the process of massaging a story into the best form I can. Since I started writing, I've continued writing short stories and now I have finished my first novel.
I live in Northern Virginia with my furry overlord.
I have been playing with the idea of writing for over a decade when I got a subscription to Writer's Digest. I kept writing as a dream until the 2020 pandemic gave me an excuse to use writing as a way of managing my anxiety.
I find I have to write the story that gets stuck in my head. These are the stories that won't leave my head until they are in a final version, the version where I have to stand back and admit it is the best I am capable of doing at this point in my career.
